At swing2sleep, we charmingly and diversely combine the knowledge and insights we have gained as a company over the last 19 years in the world of colicky babies, high-need babies, and babies with special needs, with the necessary know-how of a mother of a colicky baby.
In our podcast for parents, you can expect soothing techniques, suggestions for a harmonious and stress-free family life, and stories from my own life as a mother with our excessively crying daughter. All with a large dose of joie de vivre, of course.
Now you can also listen to us – in our swing2sleep podcast for parents
Experience shows that parents have to muster an enormous amount of energy in their baby's first year of life. All family members often operate at the limit of their resilience. In addition, parents are faced with a multitude of guidebooks wanting to offer help. But there is a catch with the tips and advice listed there. You already receive countless pieces of information in the maternity ward, supplemented by even more supposed assistance from family and friends. Usually, you immediately receive a confusingly large number of partially contradictory tips: starting with the supposed danger of spoiling the baby through too much physical contact, or the statement that crying supposedly strengthens the lungs, right through to the advice to carry the baby on your body all day long. There is an abundance of such advice for every facet of babyhood and parenthood.
Parents of colicky babies are understandably often very unsettled
Every tip is certainly well-intentioned, but everyone believes they possess the ultimate solution for calming the baby or mastering an optimal daily baby routine as parents. We want to shed some light on the matter and are therefore incredibly excited to finally be at the starting line with our podcast "Vollzeit Müde" (Full-time Tired).

Of course, thousands of questions still buzz through the heads of all moms or dads, such as:
- Is our baby really a so-called colicky baby?
- What can we do if our baby has long-lasting and excessive crying spells?
- Are we possibly doing something wrong?
- How can we change the current situation?
- Why is the baby sleeping so poorly?
- Why does it want to be carried all day long?
- Why does it only fall asleep in my arms?
- Why does it wake up what feels like 1000 times during the night?
- And so on and so forth?
We want to address these questions, prejudices, uncertainties, supposed information and advice, and much more in our new podcast.
Experience in the field of "colicky babies"
swing2sleep has been in close contact with affected parents for almost two decades. In addition, we conduct intensive discussions with midwives, osteopaths, baby coaches, alternative practitioners, doctors, parents, and therapists. We are constantly researching everything related to pregnancy, birth, and the first baby years. Furthermore, as parents, we have had the experience of caring for a colicky baby. We know the current situation you are in and understand the questions that occupy your mind. We know the enormous strain that long-lasting crying brings and know how terribly tired you must be – hence the title "Full-time Tired" 😊.
swing2sleep therefore wants to stand by all new parents and offer you ways to receive our many years of experience, all research, suggestions, and news via as many media channels as possible. On our homepage you will find help on every topic – for example, through specially made videos or via the newly established podcast, which went online on March 1, 2020. From Monday to Friday, a new podcast episode is released daily, providing you with useful information and great suggestions. From March 23, 2020, I will then inform you twice a week about brand-new topics.
In addition, you will hear my very personal mom experiences, such as how many childless couples think they have the best parenting tips, or how your own parents come up with the standard phrase that they went through all of that too. The best one is still the saying: "What do you think? Babies cry, that's just how it is."
Enjoy listening to our podcast "Full-time Tired" – The ultimate parenting podcast from swing2sleep.
